What is Search Engine:
A program that searches documents for specified keywords and returns a list of the documents where the keywords were found. Although search engine is really a general class of programs, the term is often used to specifically describe systems like Google, Alta Vista and Excite that enable users to search for documents on the World Wide Web and USENET newsgroups.
Typically, a search engine works by sending out a spider to fetch as many documents as possible. Another program, called an indexer, then reads these documents and creates an index based on the words contained in each document. Each search engine uses a proprietary algorithm to create its indices such that, ideally, only meaningful results are returned for each query.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of improving website rankings for online search engines and keyword search terms. Proper implementation of the SEO strategy includes various stages to manipulate search engine result listings for targeted keyword phrases.
Before undergoing any changes to a website, the important thing is to determine the keywords people are using to search for your products and services. You wish for keyword that are frequently used but have little or no competition from other websites. This increases the probability of increasing web page ranking significantly. To obtain a top search engine placement, these are some suggestions that help in selection of best keywords:
* Perform a first round keyword research and list out the intended keywords you wish to kick off with.
* With the list that you achieve in first search, conduct your advanced keyword research and complete the list of keywords that you want to use for optimization on each of your WebPages.
* Each page of your site must have 1-3 actual keywords / key phrases related with it.
* Strategic key phrases should always consist of at least 2 words (but it is even better to have 3-5 words, as that is the average length of a search phrase).
* Finding the most general terms that illustrate your business well, then break them into more expressive ones and optimize each page for the most exact term describing the page.
* If possible, give preference to the keywords related to your products name. It is often easy to gain a top search engine placement for a selected product name.
* If possible, optimize one or several pages for localized terms.
* From the list of keywords, you should pick out those keywords which show the weakest competition: low page ranks of the top pages, low link recognition of the top pages, low CPC prices, low number of pages and titles with a keyword in them.
