Business Management: A Key to Business Prosperity

Business management is an effective process of a judicious planning, co-ordination and control of a business activity. To survive and gain in the long run, a business needs to have a sound and strong profitable and liquid. To do so, a business entity must generate sufficient value for its both existing and potential customers so that its revenues inflow may exceed over the total costs. The overall purpose of business management is to address successfully the problems that may give a hard time to the smooth flow of a business in its role as a value-creating organization.

Besides having the problem-solving abilities and skills, business managers need to have a thorough understanding and expertise in the seven functional areas of business: production, marketing, finance, accounting, human resources, management information systems, and product research and development. A business activity needs to have full co-ordination from all the three levels including top, middle, and lower. Top level must make and take decisions pertaining to the growth of a business activity whereas the middle level should ensure that smooth implementation of the decisions taken by the top level.
